Autumn To Winter Qigong

Autumn transitioning to Winter is here. In Taoism and 5 Element Theory, Autumn is nicknamed "Lung Season" and has a great impact on the function and health of Lung energy. It is also associated with the Metal element which is said to govern the Lungs and Large Intestine. Winter is associated with Kidneys and adrenal energy.

As you may have noticed, we are affected both physically and emotionally by each season. Strengthen the lungs and maintain energy with this Qigong practice.

Discover the self-healing effects of Qigong methods and maintain harmony with each season!

This 2 hour class will include instruction and review for establishing an at-home practice through Autumn (:

> Learn ancient Taoist breathing and movement methods to maintain physical and emotional well-being.

> Move and circulate "stuck" physical and emotional energy.

> Practice simple yet profound breathing methods to increase lung capacity and keep the lungs clear.

> Transform and prevent seasonally affected emotions.

> Use imagery and intended placebo to strengthen "Lung Qi".

> Learn a well known Qigong movement practice for the Lung meridians and improved circulation.
